The Patriot-News reports: “Pressure continues to build on the Corbett administration to slow down or back off its consideration of privatizing the Pennsylvania Lottery.”

On Wednesday, state Treasurer Rob McCord sent a letter to Gov. Tom Corbett’s revenue secretary notifying him that no payment will go out to a private lottery manager until McCord is satisfied the manager is operating under the letter of the law.

Earlier in the day, outgoing Auditor General Jack Wagner questioned the Corbett administration’s bidding process that led to only one company submitting a bid. He also raised concern about diverting lottery profits from senior citizen programs to pay a private management firm to run the lottery.
